Well, we're well into Spring now!  Don't you love Spring?  Isn't it awesome that we don't have to stay in one season all the time?  Spring is my favorite because everything is coming to life and blooming, giving the landscape (especially in West Texas) some much needed color.  This is such a picture of what God does when we've been in that "winter season" in our lives and it's bleak, gray, harsh and then SUDDENLY.......It's Spring.  "See the Winter is past the rains are over and gone, flowers appear on the earth and a season of singing has come." (Song of Sol. 2) These paintings are both about that very thing, although I think I have several more.  I think it's a popular theme in my artwork.   God turning our mourning to dancing, new life, new hope, new joy.  It's why I paint really.  To spread that hope to others.   People often tell me my paintings make them smile and have lots of "JOY" in them.  I sincerely hope so!!
